Polymarket strategy tester: paper-test an idea before you risk real money
I built OddSage because I wanted a Polymarket strategy tester that would say no. Most tools help you place the next bet. This one is for the idea you have not funded yet.
OddSage is paper-only Polymarket research. No live trading. No wallet. No copy-trade execution. You bring an idea. You run it on resolved history. You get a verdict you can read without translating a backtest log.
The line I keep using is the product: test your Polymarket idea before you risk real money.
Paste a market, or type the idea
Two doors. Same lab.
Paste a Polymarket URL. OddSage opens a Market Dossier. That is a research page for the market, not a ticket. You see what the provider actually gave us: the question, quotes, rules, history, and whether the snapshot is even usable. If something is missing, it stays missing. We do not invent a quote to make the page look complete.
Or skip the link. Open the AI Strategy Builder and type the idea in English. The way you would say it to a person. Fade longshots. Fade the first spike. Fade a category you already watch. The builder drafts a strategy from that sentence. You read the draft. Then Save & run.
That is the whole tester loop. English idea → draft → Save & run → verdict.
The four verdicts
Keep. Kill. No edge. Inconclusive.
Keep means the paper test left something worth holding. Kill means it did not survive the run. No edge means the idea ran and still looked like noise. Inconclusive means there was not enough evidence to call it. Inconclusive is a real ending. It is not a soft keep.
OddSage will kill an idea. That is the point of a strategy tester. A tool that only ever says “interesting” is a mood board.
One public paper-test sits at this strategy page. It is a kill / no-edge style story. Read that if you want to see what a finished run looks like when the idea does not get a pass.
What this tester is not
It does not place bets. It does not connect a wallet to trade. It does not copy another trader’s book onto yours.
It is also not a live practice account. If you typed “paper trading” and wanted a fake wallet on live odds, that is a different product. I wrote that distinction here: Polymarket paper trading that tests the idea.
You do not need Python. You do not need to replay an order book in a notebook. If that is your workflow, fine. It is not this page. This page is for people who have a sentence and want a keep, a kill, a no edge, or an inconclusive.
Same job, other search: test a Polymarket strategy on resolved history.
Run the idea
Start on oddsage.com. Paste a market or type the idea. Create an account when you want to save the draft and run it.
I’m Avinash Jetwani. If the tester kills it, that is a cheap day.
FAQ
Does the strategy tester place the trade if it looks good?
No. Paper-only. The run never sends an order, never signs a wallet, never copies a trader. The verdict is research. You decide what, if anything, to do with it.
Do I have to write code to test a Polymarket strategy?
No. Type the idea in English in the AI Strategy Builder. Read the draft. Save & run. That is the tester.
What does inconclusive mean? Did it break?
It finished. There was not enough to keep or kill. OddSage says that instead of inventing a score. Change the idea, or stop. Do not rerun the same draft hoping it becomes a keep.
